Okay, as much as I like to throw my opinions around like they are facts, I'll hold back on that here.  But I will say that my opinions in the hand-made titanium wedding ring world are backed by 25 years of experience, so I feel like my opinions at least border on fact.  They can at least see Fact from where they stand.  Here's my main opinion on picking wedding ring sets for two people:  Your rings do NOT have to match each other's. There, I said it.   I read a great quote once (written in my handwriting because it was spoken and written by me) that said "You are MARRIED people, not MATCHING people."  That being said, if matching is your vibe, go for it!  I don't mean to say that matching is bad, just that you don't have to if you don't want to.  So many couples come into our store in fear that we will make them match or feel like they should match even though in their heart of hearts they don't want to.

We have noticed that three main types of couples come into our studio.

1 - The We Live to Match Couple

Some couples love to match!

For those that love to match, we've got you covered.  First of all, any ring you see on the entire site can have a matching ring made in another size and width for your partner.  But we also have some real beauties to peruse as well.  Rings like Inox Sapphire Blue and Moose off Maine come to mind.  But we also love matching sets like below.

2 - The Complementing Couple

Ranch Couple
Complementing, not Matching.
Not exactly matching, not exactly opposite, this type of couple is in their complementing groove together.  They tend to like a lot of the same colors, materials, and textures as one another, but they like to put their own individual spin on what they wear, especially when it comes to jewelry.  That's where we jump on board with wedding rings that complement each other while still being the opposite or very different from one another.  Wedding Ring Sets like Hold My Hand and Plants of Zion come to mind.

The Opposite Style Couple

You do you and I'll Do me!

This couple is always fun to watch as well.  They walk into our studio, immediately go opposite directions and start picking up materials they each individually like.  Then we all meet back up at the design table and chuckle.  They don't pick one similar item!  It doesn't matter though at all.  No matter what, their rings end up looking perfect together.  After all, their love for one another is what matches them - not their wedding rings.

FAQs

Q: How do I get sized?

A: WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PURCHASING MINTER & RICHTER CUSTOM SIZERS to guarantee you get the absolute perfect fit for your ring. The industry-wide standard for ring size carries many variables (different measuring tools, ring widths, ring materials, and design). Factory-made bands are sized LESS accurately than our handmade bands. Therefore, getting sized at a factory jewelry store does not guarantee that the size will be correct. We offer Sizing Exchanges for life for half price. But getting Custom Sizers ensures that you will not need a sizing exchange. A sizing exchange is 50% of the cost of the original if you were not sized on our custom sizers.

  1. Minter & Richter Custom Aluminum Sizers ($45 for a set of 3 sizers): If you have a general idea of what your ring size might be, we can make you a set of custom aluminum sizers (plain aluminum bands) in three different sizes at your preferred width. This allows you to spend time wearing each sizer for a day or two and finding out which one offers the most comfortable fit. Finger size can fluctuate slightly throughout the day due to water intake, temperature, etc. so this is an excellent way to get an accurate representation of exactly how your final ring will fit. We request that customers purchase their final ring(s) at the same time as the sizers. We will ship you the sizers along with a SASE for convenient return (domestic only – international must pay for return shipping). Once you confirm your ring size we begin making your rings!

(**Please note that sizers can add approximately 2 weeks to order processing.)
